BoBunny Soirée & A Little Crochet Part II - Lottie

Back today with the second of my two design team layouts for the Papermaze Blog. This time I have scrapped a photo of Great Aunt Lottie. More crochet - this time in the form of flowers and some machine stitching too. I was inspired by the work of Heather Jacob.

About the photo: Charlotte Ivy Holder, born 3rd June 1901 in Bromley, Kent. (one of 14 children) to Frederick Holder and Emma Jane Williams (My great aunt Lottie).
Lottie married Richard Fountain (Bert) in 1925, they had one son Geoffrey in 1927
Lottie died in 1987 in Wandsworth London.

The details of how this was made and the items used are all available on the Papermaze blog, and most items used are available from the shop / website - please pop over and take a look.

Bo Bunny Soirée and a Little Crochet - Part I - Winifred

Over on the Papermaze Blog today you will find a post about two layouts I have made using Bo Bunny Soirée papers. I knew they would be ideal for a few more heritage layouts featuring two of my great aunts. Here is the first one of Auntie Winnie

I wanted to try crocheting a border for a layout, and I'm pleased with how my experimenting worked out.

About the photo: Winifred Freda Holder born 1889 (one of 14 children) to Frederick Holder and Emma Jane Williams. (My great aunt Winnie). Winnie married Henry David Williams in 1915, and they had one daughter Freda Edith in 1916. Winnie died in March 1978, Bromley.

Blue Eyed Boy

A new layout for my friends Amy and Martin, this time I have worked with a photo of their son Ben, with his beautiful blue eyes.

I used some papers from Bella Blvd. Tiny Tots collection, which is ideal for creating pages for this age range.

Together with Crystal Blue Bazzill Bling  and a dark scalloped sheet of Bazzill I have had in mys stash for many years! With buttons from my stash I threaded with Baker's Twine.

The title is created with some letters cut from corrugated card using Sizzix Bigz XL Alphabet Die - Word Play, painted with Blueprint Sketch Distress Paint and glittered with Stickles.

It was fun making a simpler layout for a change, but felt this was all it needed.

Colourful Box for Markers

While away on our weekend at East Park recently I decorated another box. This time it was for my Tim Holtz Distress Markers, and I used JOFY stamps from Paper Artsy and my Tim Holtz Distress Markers themselves. The beauty of being away together meant we could share one-another's stamps, and so thanks to Linda I had plenty of JOFY stamps to use!! (Thanks Linda x).

I used another Molton Brown Box and this one had a magnetic flip opening lid. The box is very strong, so ideal for transporting the pens about to crops. I laid the box on it's side so I can store the pens horizontally as I believe this is the best way to store these double-ended pens.

I labelled the lid so that it would indicate where the opening is as there are no tabs or catches.

I will list the stamps and other items used at the bottom of the post.

Using borders from different sets I decorated pre-cut pieces (made to measure) of water-colour paper using the pens, water and a paintbrush.

The letters and numbers were also JOFY stamps, and I added a lot of her images too. I drew my own pens and brushes.

This end doesn't open!

I also used some Doodlebug Designs alphabet stamps, which I have owned for many years and are very useful.

PAPERARTSY JOFY Stamps used:
A5 Set 21 alphabet & flags
A5 Set 22 arrows
A5 Set 34 diamond border
A5 Set 35 circular border
A5 Set 36 chevron border
A5 Set 37 Bobbly border
A5 Set 42 Leaves and bloom border
Mini Set 20 Love Birds

Robotic Cards

Some cards I made at the weekend away with my crafty friends. Thought it would be good to make some cards for the boys.

Had great fun with the robots, nuts and bolts etc. with these stamps by JOFY.

They were all made with Kraft Cardstock and coloured with Distress Markers.

The light bulbs and clock faces have been glossed with Glossy Accents.
I also used a little silver Miri card and a little string.

Heart Pouch Gifts for East PArk

We have just had another great weekend away with the crafting friends to Easthampstead Park Conference Centre. Lovely company, and we get fed and looked after too.

Traditionally we make one-another a small gift to take along to the event.
This year I made these little heart shaped, zip-up pouches. I found the pattern on Pinterest.

Once made they were filled with chocolates, ready for the weekedn.

I received lots of lovey gifts too, many thanks girls.
Looking forward to next year now!

Crazy Tea Cups!

I made this card for my lovely friend Anita, although it was her birthday a week ago I wanted to give her this card with her gist at East Park.

To make this card I used the Cricut Explore and a design I downloaded from the Design Space. The card is A4 as this is the size the design work out to be if you don't resize it. It takes many layers of Bazzill cardstock and what I hope Anita will agree are 'her' colours. After cutting, inking and layering all the pieces. I made it sparkle with Stickles glitter glue, Liquid Pearls and gems.

Hope you had a great birthday Anita and a lovely weekend at East Park.

Butterfly Mug Bag

This is the Butterfly Mug Bag I made Anita for her birthday this year. A design from Red Brolly, which I downloaded from the internet. I purchased a pretty fine bone china mug and set about selecting fabrics to compliment it. A great idea for those of us who go to retreats and like to take out own mug, carefully protected it it's own little bag with a few of our favourite tea bags hidden away in the inside pocket.

In addition to fabrics, interfacing ans wadding, I selected three buttons and a length of ribbon to make a fastening on the front.
I had fun making selecting materials and making this for my friend.

Happy birthday Anita.
