Loving Norfolk Lavender - CSI #82

In 1995 Alan and I booked a holiday on the North Norfolk coast, we took the children to the village of West Beckham near Sheringham and Cromer. We stayed in a lovely big cottage and returned there several times during their school years. We sometimes others along to enjoy the experience - my parents, Alan's sisters, his niece & cousin; and as they grew older the children's school friends as well. On the first occasion we discovered many interesting places and one of the favourites was Norfolk Lavender.

These photos were taken on that first occasion and Catherine and Emily had great fun posing for the camera, pulling funny faces and pretending to hide!

I have scrapped these photos in answer to this week's CSI challenge. I love the main photo but as I also has some tiny photos printed I decided to add a small cluster of these too. The colours the girls were wearing and the flowers were perfect for the scheme and allowed me to include all the colours before starting to select papers and embellishments.

For Evidence I used hearts (chipboard) painted with wet medium (acrylic paint). I stitched with green string and wrapped my hearts and attached the buttons with yellow string. I drew the word 'LOVING' in cursive lettering.

For Testimony I choose from the prompts suggested about celebrating summer for my journalling and wrote about:
a favorite place to go during the summer, and a favourite summer memory, there is some journalling handwritten on the circle and this continues under the small photos with little messages to the girls.

In addition I used: Papers - MME On The Bright Side & Basic Grey Serendipity; Distress Inks; buttons; Sizzix Block Party letters; chipboard swirl; ribbon; ladybird charm; gel pens in black and white; Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type letter stickers and Liquid Pearls.

This page will be added to an album of layouts about the Norfolk holidays we loved and shared as a family.

Thanks for looking.
